We highly encourage patients to book a skin cancer screening also known as a skin-check. At this visit, Dr. Kim will thoroughly check your skin for abnormal moles and skin cancers. Prevention and early diagnosis is key for preventing the progression of skin cancers.

What is a Board-Certified Dermatologist?
A board-certified dermatologist is a medical physician who specializes in the hair, skin, nails and mucous membranes.

Becoming a board-certified dermatologist requires years of intense speciality training including: college (4 years), medical school (4 years), internship (1 year), dermatology residency (3 years), optional fellowship (1 year) and board certification by the American Board of Dermatology.

In total, this training amounts to 16,000+ hours of patient care training to ensure that a board-certified dermatologist can expertly diagnose and treat over 3,000 dermatologic conditions!
